As if Marvel Legends couldn't sink any lower into the pit of sheer disgust of collectors and action figure fans around the globe. Screaming Banshee Toyz "once again brings you more to puke about when talking figures with the likes of the famed Marvel Legends toy line. I start the rant off with a large WTF!? That goes out to Has-blow! To Some we ask why in gods name does this action figure need to be placed out of his normal wave "Epic Heroes" and return as a variant in a future wave "Rocket Raccoon series?" To Hasbro "we say" thank you for the action figure. But in general we ask cant anyone "please release Blade, (red) Deadpool, Sentry, Moonstar, (white) Iron Fist, (ff) Doctor Doom and and any other variants we have been waiting almost a god damn year on!" Needless to say, if waves or series of Marvel Legends figures are going to come out first without variants, and then again with variants in the second run to toy store shelves why is this not made clear? The very fact that a toy company pumping out wave after wave and randomly making changes to re-paints still cant hold a candle to DC comics toys at this point. Never has anyone had to endure waiting for missing promissed action figures to complete a set or had random changes tossed into other waves including figures from previous toy release series. So why is it that the wheels of ideas are turning so hard to be one step ahead with over production of new waves including that of Iron Man series 1-3, Wolverine series 1 and a now leaked out Winter Soldier line. (all Marvel Legends) Also including a re-paint version on the way of Ultron (gold) & The Punisher (red/skull shirt) re-paint, yet cant get up to speed and correct the 8 plus figures from Epic Heroes & Hit Monkey waves? In any event, making my return to column writing for S.B.T. less than exciting when talking action figures (my favorite topic) which means I'll be doing less commenting on whats new and more movie reviews. I'll keep action figure reviews to a few pictures and prayers. Since anything we post coming from Marvel Legends may or may not ever see the light of day. Any time a Comic Con proudly displays a new line with 8-10 prototypes you can best bet by release 4 will be missing from case orders. 1 will be a short pack chase. Another will be from some other previous line making totally no sense. And we the collector will be sitting with our hands on our ass for 6 months with no answers as to where the hell the missing figures will show up. I think backer cards should no longer feature two characters on them if this is only going to be a marketing scam. It should also be noted that Ultimate Captain America will be showing up in future lines as well as it was leaked out. Making him not only a Hit Monkey wave release but anywhere someone sees fit to fill gaps in future lines that are dropping the ball. Thank you Marvel Legends for Ultimate Cap, who now has been produced to Ad nausiem. And for those in charge of Marvel Legends production I leave you with this.
